In this art project, PACE students explored how influence travels across time—from the
symbols and art of Ancient Egypt to the bold
pop art of Keith Haring. Each self-portrait
combines Haring’s outlined, energetic style
with Egyptian imagery such as pyramids, the
hieroglyphic symbols, and their personal
interests. Through color and motion, students expressed their individuality while honoring the lasting influence of Egyptian art and culture.
